DJ Zio a.k.a. “The Mixed Genre Dj”, is a talented Open Format DJ/Musician born and raised in NY. Having knowledge of music equipment and always wanting to be in control of what music was being played, he was frequently asked to DJ private events. This allowed Dj Zio to develop his skills and to start building his playlist. At the age of 16 DJing became a greater part of his life, while dedicating more time for practice and creating mixes. He would listen and analyze his favorite DJs mixes. Soon, people began booking him for their events as they became familiar with his DJing skills. This was an opportunity for him show his talent within different crowds. Years later at the age of 22, DJ Zio took it to another level and began promoting. Being in the promotional/DJ business helped DJ Zio gain experience and meet new promoters. With the knowledge and skills earned, DJ Zio began DJing in some of the hottest venues in NY and across the East Coast. Zio believes that a DJ should be able to adapt to different crowds, spinning all type of music, which in fact is one of his greatest qualities earning him the nickname “The Mixed Genre Dj”. His mixes could rock any crowd Latin, HipHop, House, EDM, Reggae, Trap, and much more. He is able to recognize the right music for the right time and incorporate the best from old school to what is hot today. Now at the age of 30, DJ Zio continues expanding his skills…and aggressively becoming one of the many best in Charlotte and migrating around the US.
