Coming from Queens-NY, DJ Banko was heavily influenced by the Caribbean style of music (especially Latin) and some of the best in Hip-Hop. In college, DJ Banko went to UConn where he spent most of his time learning the craft of mixing and blending. After moving to Charlotte he took a hiatus only to be reunited with his craft after meeting some of the local djs in the area that shared his passion for djing.

I’m Colombian and my husband is white and he was able to catered to both of our cultures which was wonderful.; he even created a mix of an american song with Colombian song for our first dance. I liked him so much I decided to bring him on board to my work Christmas party. I have to say out of all the work parties I’ve been, the one he played was the most fun! I didn’t even know my coworkers could dance haha, he knows how to read the crowd. He played classic American music but also threw some fun songs for the younger employees anyway I could go on and on about his work ethic. I hope he wins 🙌
